About us
Our 157 acre farm has been in our family for 600 years.
Lords & ladies once lived at Unthank. It was a dairy farm for many years until my father in law had 32 of his cows struck down by fork lightening in a freak accident which killed most of his herd.
At that point my father in law took his business in a different direction, which then led to my husband and I taking forward our equestrian business and from there glamping.
Glamping has always been a dream of mine especially in the Secret Wood.
The 4 acre woodland is an incredible, secluded area where you are taken away from the rat race of life and you can reconnect with nature. We want the whole world to enjoy what we are so very lucky to have everyday.
Glamping is the ideal group activity; it's a great way to gather people together and get active. Outside of the school holidays glamping is really popular with groups of adults, and our luxury glamping site provides a perfect, practical base from which to have fun discovering the beautiful surroundings and enjoying all the local activities available.
From family groups to big groups whether it be a holiday with friends to catch up or planning someone's special hen party, our glamping site is a fun way to experience the outdoors and enjoy each others company, while learning or developing skills together. As well as being great fun, glamping in a group can be a fantastic way to bond with family & friends, you can do this with ease and comfort. Make it sociable and get the fire pits roaring! Our bell tent can accommodate six guests and has a wood fired hot tub, an outdoor kitchen with bbq/fire pit all nestled in your very own secluded 4 acre woodland - so there's lots of room! Why not stay in camp and add a woodland inspired experience to your stay.....
Today my husband and I along with our 2 boys and our dog love the lifestyle of working in the great outdoors.
