Ashover Show 2024: Everything you need to know
At Secret Wood Glamping, whilst idyllically located in a rural, private woodland within the quiet Derbyshire village of Holmesfield, we are also nearby several wonderful places to visit and a number of well-known attractions from across the Peak District, North Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
Coming up in the calendars this August is the annual Ashover Agricultural and Horticultural Show. Just a 25 minute drive away from Secret Wood, Ashover Show is a family-friendly event that showcases an array of Derbyshire countryside culture.

About Ashover Show
Ashover Show is an event that has been running each summer in Ashover, Derbyshire since 1925.
A popular agricultural event attracting people from across the country, Ashover Show is ideal for a family day out to enjoy various animal exhibitions, spectacles, trade stands – and local food and drink. To break it down for you, we’ve listed everything to see at the show here:
- Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Poultry, Horticulture and Dog Shows
- Vintage Vehicles and Machinery Exhibitions
- Trade Stands of local crafts, produce, food and drink
What’s more, this year the show will also feature The Belgian Bouncing Man, performing a comedy equestrian show with Roman Riding, Liberty and Trick Riding!

Date: Wednesday 14th August (Closing date for online ticket sales is 5th August 2024)
Time: 9am – 7pm (Trade stands usually close up at 6pm)
Location: S45 0BA
Costs for on-the-day tickets: Adult £15.00, Concession £13.00, Child £5.00
Access: There is free parking around the showground, and the track around the showground is also accessible with disabled toilets at the disabled car park and within the grounds.
Additional Information: Dogs on leads are welcome to the Ashover Show and water will be available.
