We are based in Holmesfield, a small village perched on a ridge overlooking the head of the Cordwell valley. Just outside the Peak Park boundaries, it is beautifully situated, surrounded by fine countryside and with good views towards both Sheffield and Chesterfield.

I booked Hidden Wood Secret Glamping for a birthday break with friends. Charlotte made sure we had all the travel and packing information we required before the trip and was immediately the most warm and welcoming host on arrival. She helped us down to camp with our (many, many) bags and gave us a thorough run through of the set up so we could be fully self sufficient for our stay. We had a little welcome bundle of fresh bread and coffee waiting for us and the hot tub already up to temperature! The camp itself is well equipped and a great mix between traditional camping and home comforts. There’s also easy access to local shops should you need to stock up on supplies. After settling us in Charlotte left us in peace to enjoy our stay and we’ve all come away relaxed, refreshed and ready to recommend!! Thank you Charlotte for a fantastic birthday break.
